Humility
That's the dictionary definition in the Webster's New Dictionary of the English language. But what is humility, in God's eyes?
God says: "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; Do not merely look out for your own interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although, He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God to be a thing to be grasped, But emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant and being made in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:3-7)
Originally I was going to only quote the third verse, but Paul explains it so amazingly well and thoroughly that I just had to keep going. What we need to realize is that Paul is talking to people like us! Christians, like us! And we need to apply these God given instructions to our own lives and attitudes. Simply stated, we need to squash the ego and trash the pride. Because this isn't just a suggestion, its God almighty's demanding that we "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself;" (Quoting from V. 3) What does this accomplish? For just a few; further the Christian cause and ultimately God's great plans and his desire for us to grow in his word and teachings (besides that you will be glorifying God by obeying him). And thus allow the potter to form our lives like soft clay. Give into God today! And let him take control, as you follow the commands that He has plainly given us in his own book.
Till next post.

Update 6/28/05
(ok forget the numbering thing)
This weekend I along with my family went with some members of our church on our yearly church-weekend-camping trip to winter
park. We enjoyed a weekend of swimming, fishing, mini golf and volleyball. Yes, they have a pool! We went to the YMCA camp of
the rockies and they had a pool with slide, along with a gym where we played volleyball and you can also skate. They also
have a 18 hole mini golf course. We had alot of rain, but most of it was light and we also had alot of time without rain.
After the church camp our family (minus my mom, becuase of babysitting she had to do) stayed an extra night and went fishing
for four hours the next day, resulting in my cooked-lobster like appearence.
This weekend Sergay helped me learn a very important phrase as well. His phrase of the week being; "It's ok." after merciless
repition is causing me to end up hearing myself saying "it's ok" to many things, immensly improving my outlook on people,
things they do, people I don't particularly like, and helping my attitiude towards things that would normally irritate me.
I thank the Lord for this very small but important attitude adjustment causing a much more christian type attitude, and more
patience in dealing with those that don't always use their heads quite as much as their mouths.
Well thats all till next post. I need to go fix a car now, wish me luck (bleh!)

Update #2
So I got my drivers license today! That was cool, and it was pretty easy except i had to copy a ton of stuff to the standerd drive time log sheets. The actual drive test only took fifteen minutes and the guy that did them was really nice.
Unfortunatly my drivers license remains only a keepsake because my beloved father doesn't want me to drive till he puts me on the Inscurance and wants me to finish my driving program which insists that i have 30 full hours of "classtime". So I'm doomed to remain drivingless (i know it's not a word...
now it is)until i finish 15 hours of class time. So i'm thinking ill fix our white buick's power steering and ask my dad if I can have it to make some classtime.

Things Senator John Glenn said
-------SENATOR JOHN GLENN SAID:
Things that make you think a little........
1. There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January..... In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January. That's just one American City, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq.
2. When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following ..
FDR...led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.
Truman...finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked us. >From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,334 per year.
John F. Kennedy. started the Vietnam conflict in
1962. Vietnam never attacked us. Johnson...turned Vietnam into a quagmire. >From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.
Clinton...went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
3. In the two years since terrorists attacked us President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.
The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.
We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.
It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick killing a woman.
Wait, there's more.......................
Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living. This is a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of our military.
JOHN GLENN ON THE SENATE FLOOR Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2004 11:13
Senator Howard Metzenbaum to Senator Glenn: "How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?"
Senator Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by antiaircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program.
It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank. I ask you to go with me ... as I went the other day... to a veteran's hospital and look those men - with their mangled bodies - in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job! You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee... and you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their Dads didn't hold a job.
You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags.
You stand there, and you think about this nation, and you tell ME that those people didn't have a job? I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum; you should be on your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men - SOME MEN - who held REAL jobs. And they required a dedication to a purpose - and a love of country and a dedication to duty that was more important than life itself. And their self-sacrifice is what made this country possible.
I HAVE held a job, Howard! What about you?"
For those who don't remember - During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA
If you can read this, thank a teacher.... If you are reading it in English thank a Veteran. Please keep this circulating.
Happy Dad's day, leave a comment, tell me what you thought.
Leave a comment, tell me what you didn't think.
PS Pray for me, my driver's test is tomorrow, for my liscence

This weekend-
I had quite an interesting and long weekend this pas friday through monday. To start it all off we had a missionary family
from germany come to stay at our house last friday. They were great and alot of fun. One of the things that just brings them
closer to us is that both of our families are missionaries, and our family is german just a few generations back from
Germany. So it was really neat learning more about our heritage.
They sang a song for us in german and it was really really beautiful, Their kids are lucky to have a family that is very
musically talented. They had five kids and one freind traveling with them. Four of them girls, the oldest 18 and the youngest
and the only boy (who stayed in my room along with my brothers) 11 years old. Saturday morning they left to go to other
churches.
But wait there's more!!
On Sunday I went to my freind Max's house along with my brother and we then spent two days making a movie together. Along
with Sergay, Max's brother, and Mason, Sergay's freind we worked straight through most of the daylight hours after church and
the next day making this movie. Unfortunatly even with two whole days of work, we only got a fifteen minute movie plus
extras. Although it's one of the best Deck of Cards (our company) has ever made. With a cheap camcorder and windows movie
maker, though I thought it was pretty good. Anyway, it is called The Adventures of Fruitman, and we hope to make more
episodes soon. Although Chandler (a member of Deck of Cards productions)hasn't gotten a copy yet i expect it to be on his
website soon. So if you want to see it be watching for it on The world of Disiance
Yesterday-
Well, what happened yesterday thats worth telling you about? I went downstairs to comb my hair, and waddya know! There's
water all over the bathroom floor. Come to find out that there is water all over the laundry room too. So we are having a
plumber come today and check it out.
Today and later- This next weekend we are planning to go to a men's work retreat at Twin Peaks Bible Camp, which is always
fun becuase we get to shoot shotguns :D woohoo! Anyway, this next monday I am finally going to get my drivers lisence.
HALLELUJAH!!!
Also my finger is still a bit bruised but healing.
well thats all for this time. Till next post,

Yokanchi

Adam and Eve (theology)
When there was only adam and eve, and when they were in the garden of
eden. Before the fall. God gave one rule, don't eat from the tree of
the knowledge of good and evil. What i would like to bring to your
attention is that God did not say: make sacrifices every day. No. God
did not say thou shalt not steal, everything was theirs already. Most
importantly God did not say; Thou shalt not kill. This brings up alot of questions as you can imagine. Does this
mean that if Adam had suddenly gotten tired of his wife and said to
himself "i think ill just get rid of her" and if Adam had murdered his
wife before the fall would it have been wrong?I apologize if that sounds kind of morbid, but it's an interesting
thought.
Let me go back. God had given one rule and one rule only, and you know
what it is of course, don't eat from that one tree (to paraphrase it).
Therefore, it would not have been wrong according to God's laws he had
given so far seeing as thats all he said they couldn't do.
Now, there was alot of other things that God did not say they couldn't
do. Why, didn't they do "bad things" ? Or rather, what prevented them
from doing them? Now stop for a minute and think. What rule did they break when they
fell? They ate of the tree. They broke God's one rule. Did they murder?
Apparently not cause we're here. Secondly, why? Did they not murder, steal, lie, and deceive.
Well if you think about it why do people sin in the first place? Of
course everybody now has a sin nature passed down from this sin that
was commited 6000 yrs or so ago.
So, we, with the sin nature can sin on our own easily without
temptation. But as for Adam and Eve they were without this sin nature,
that we are so accustiomed to having, before the fall. Therefore them
to even have a desire to sin they would have to have a little
temptation. Now I am in no way saying that they could not have sinned on
their own. They were still free-willed creatures, but they as of yet
had no cause, reason, or motivation to disobey their beloved creator.
So, when Satan went to the garden. And when Satan took the shape of a
serpent to go and tempt eve, did go tempt her to, say, lie? No. Did he
tempt her to murder adam? No. He had no reason or motive to tempt them
to do any other thing. Satan's main goal was to cause one or both of
them to willfully break the one law God had made for them. That one
tree, that they were not to eat from. Why did Satan not tempt them to
kill, lie, steal, or covet? becuase these were as of yet not God's
laws!
Now, this raises another question, and i want to make clear that this
next part is all conjecture. It is only what I think and what seems to
me what must have been God's reasoning. So far I have taken from the
Bible and only applied logic. Now I will take what the Bible has said
happened and apply my own conjecture.
Now, the question that this topic raises is: Why, didn't God make
these laws (such as thou shalt not kill etc...) ? I beleive that becuase
of the fact that Adam and eve did not have a sin nature and did not
have any motives for killing, stealing, lying, and type of things God
didn't even need to make laws against these things. Why did God decide to make the tree? And why did he make that
one rule? That would be even more conjecture, and it would also make
this a whole lot longer than it should be. So, I have decided not to
discuss this. At least for now. Mainly because I really have no idea.
(his thoughts are higher than my thoughts).
Well, if you've read this far at least i haven't scared you that bad, now go ahead and leave a comment and tell me what you think. Go right ahead! Its easy, Don't be afraid!

Humanism (poem) plus update.
Maybe its just prose i don't know, but i like it.
Especially for writing it at midnight.
Go ahead and read it, see what you think, leave a comment, tell me how it is.
If your faith in placed in men be.
Does this race come out to equal up the fee?
this man make theory, evolution.
Millions of years is what it takes?
Perfection, that's what society now fakes.
If humans are finding it now,
why is it taking so long?
Where's the utopia promised now?
And why is everything so wrong?
If man is so great why can't we
fabricate this heavenly society?
My small piece of faith,
I do no choose to place,
in out corrupt humanity.
God do I trust in,
that's where my slice of faith I'll place,
though it be unfortunately thin,
and take part in God's bountiful grace.
A choice between God's plan or the human race?
A choice between God's mortal man or the almighty's face.
Winners or losers,
Pick your side.
We are the choosers,
Not others who must decide.
It seems you'd want results,
from ma, that you'll hardly see
our heads are full of bolts.
If we'll make it there's only way for it to be.
Humans - 0
God - 50
Perhaps we should lose the pride.
And admit that we have lied,
and realize God is the one
to whom we ought to run.
God still does have his perfect plan.
Our own decision to take it
will decide our future,
and whether we make it,
or be run over by this world.

2ND part of blog
Update
Ok, well my wrist is healing so that's good news. Unfortunatly our car isn't and along with that i hurt myself again.
Ok, so i told my dad "i like being geeky and staying inside using the computer, becuase whenever i go out and play a sport or something i hurt myself." and sure enough yesterday i went to play basketball for like 5 minutes and i hurt myself. So what happened is I either majorly jammed my finger or broke it. I'm getting x-rays tomorrow. Its been swollen at full capacity for a day and a half now, so im kinda wondering (seriously hoping it's not broken).
Well thats all folks. Till next post.
